Tanya Sleeper earned her ANCC certification as a geriatric nurse practitioner. She has served as the executive director of the Aroostook Home Health Services and is the current director of nursing for a long-term care home health care agency in Aroostook County, Maine. She has聽8+ years teaching experience at the baccalaureate nursing education level and聽17 years home health care experience. She is聽ANCC Certified as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, and has extensive community involvement serving on a number of Boards and Committees.
She works heavily with the geriatric population serving as a strong advocate for aging in place initiatives. Tanya also works collaboratively with area agencies to keep older adults aging safely at home. Her research interests include gerontology (health and aging), health policy, and nursing leadership.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and reading.
